Thanks Mark! The quality of the film is impressive. Some of those shots are hard to believe they're almost 75 years old. Especially the ones of the (forgive my ignorance of RCAF types) Beaver looking airplane on skis.

That is a Nordyun Norsman. Canadian designed bush plane. Glen miller was killed flying in one of these.

And i am 99.9% sure the first half and last third of that film was shot in Canada. The first bit is definately of a BCATP base and in the last bit, round the 29:30 mark the Hurricane, 5635, was based only at Bagotville, Quebec until it was written off...and the Anson right after, 6807 was based at St.Jean Quebec...and the Norsemna after that, 3535, was based at Rockliffe, Ontario..Less then 30 min from where I sit typing this now. Not to mention all that snow...lol. Looks like it was all filmed along the east coast of Canada..cpet for the middle bit where it was in Burma..

Love the shots of the Hawk 75s. A forgotten plane in a forgotten theater.

Great stuff! Thanks for sharing! Love the pictures of the Hudson's and crews...they are too often overlooked.
