Well I took off from work today to swing on over to the Mid Atlantic Air Museum. The P-61 is coming along nicely. The fuselage is all but completed. The nacelles and wings are almost back together. And to support the rumors of this bird sitting on the tarmac at WW2 Weekend 2006, the landing gear has been installed. They most definitely plan on having it on static this June. The wings and booms should be attached in the near future.

The MAAM staff was kind enough to let me enter the restoration area to take some pictures. Unfortunately I don't own a scanner so I will post them as soon as I get them scanned somewhere.

Their C119 is currently sitting in the rundown ww2 era hanger on the opposite side of the field. I assume that will be their next big project after the Black Widow is completed.

Stay tuned for pics!
