Here are some (OK a bunch) of photos of the 2016 Morgan Adams Concourse D’elegance which is an event held to raise funding and awareness for cancer research. If you are ever in Colorado the last weekend in August you have to check it out! You can also visit their web site if you want to help. They are not all pics of warbirds but speed is speed and the radial engine pickup I think makes up for it. :supz:

Thanks for the pics, looks like my kind of event!

For anyone looking to learn more on the '39 Plymouth truck with the radial engine, Jay Lenos Garage did a great segment on it.

They eventually start it with attempts starting at 21:30 for anyone looking to just hear it.

42-105120 on Goodall's list. Not registered under that serial number that I could find. Recently restored in Ocala, Fl. Now owned by someone in Colorado I've been told.

No, this is not the Ocala restoration (though it does have a very similar finish). The one in the photos is 42-104977 (N977WH), owned by John Davis in Colorado. This P-40N used to be based in Australia with Mike Spaulding as VH-MIK. Although not accurate, its new paint scheme pays homage to the aircraft's (at least the identity attached) original WWII service with the 49th FG, including two kill markings.

(Mr. Davis is also the owner of the former CAF MN Wing Harvard.)

The Ocala P-40N (N692CK) remains registered to C & G Air.

I had to Google "VH-MIK" in order to determine which P-40N this was. Now this is just my personal opinion, and no offense is intended, but it appears as if this P-40 is destined to receive one bad paint job after the next!

Holy Smokes!

That T-33 is gorgeous. Especially in the TB scheme.

I always forget how super F-80s/T-33s look.
