According to the Yanks Museum newsletter, they have purchased a Lockheed EC-121T Warning Star at Camarillo, CA.

"Efforts are now being made to return the aircraft to flying condition so that it may be ferried from Camarillo to Chino."

So are you going get some shots of it coming in for us? That would be a great sight.

Is Yanks planning to fly any of the aircraft they have? If they ever get to the point of moving the museum up north I might consider flying out to see the parade of aircraft move north! I’d love to see them in the air. I wonder if It would be better to be in Chino or the new Museum?

Yanks is planning to keep both museums. Yanks has their Staggerwing flying somewhat regularly, and may fly the Lockheed 10 a bit once it finally gets into the air.

If I'm there when the Connie arrives I'll take pictures!

Hi all,

It was sad when the MATS Connie left for Korea to be forever grounded for static display. But seeing other variant's of the Connie airborne (?), such as this one and the one that will or should soon return to the air bearing the TWA markings of old.....

I would love to see this variant airborne. The main reason is that an old(er) friend of mine flew as Flt Engineer on them....real nice guy and has MANY photo's of his EC-121 to prove it. I know he'd love to see this one airbonre.

Paul

Is the Staggerwing a UC-43?

UC-43 = military staggerwing...

I've always wanted to see one and I was thinking that they had one.
