Hi All,

There was a request recently for pictures from the Canada Aviation Museum. I visited last week with my tripod and camera. I didn't ask about access to the storage hanger because I didn't have the time, but I did photography everything in the main building that had been moved over the last year.

You can find the pictures at...

Around the end of the week I am going to move those pictures into my other CAvM albums...

Some of you also requested a copy of the new floor plan. It is posted on the CAvM web site on this page...

Let me know if you have any questions.

Regards,

Mike

Do you want to find locations of displayed, stored or active aircraft? Then start with the The Locator.
Do you want to find or contribute to the documented history of an aircraft? If so then start with the Airframes Database.

Thanks for the update Mike.

The new arrangement looks pretty interesting.

I'm just curious, but does the museum have any policy against camera tripods?

Regards,

Not that I am aware of. They have never complained about mine. There really is no issue since there is always plenty of room to move around, so you don't interfere with people's movements. I also make a point of letting others pass first and yielding to others so they know they are not getting in my way.

Good question. I think I have a picture of it shortly after arrival, but just don't have it scanned yet.

Everyting you don't see in the pictures that was in the former storage area is now in the storage hanger.

The one exception is the Kittyhawk which took the place of the Mustang. The Mustang is now in the storage hanger.

I haven't asked yet. I would love to take some time to tour the storage area myself, but things are really starting to get busy here at work.
