It is still there. As any WW2 era plane displayed outside its condition gets a little worse with each passing year. It has been hit by a passing/out of control truck at least one time that I'm aware of. It needs to be placed somewhere in a secure envoirment along with a few hundred planes on outside display before they rot away completely. There goes my blood pressure again.

I have several shots I can post if you want from 2004 (I think)

Tulare is pretty dry so it’s not suffering the fate of the one over the gas station in Oregon, yet. But time and truck traffic has not been kind to it and will not be.

I agree that it needs to get moved and saved before it’s totally lost.

There's an F-4 next to it now, isn't there?

ARRRGGGHHH!

Well, this is too bad to have this plane just rotting away behind a fence. I'm sure the Veterans Org that obtained the plane is doing the best they can but good grief, these planes deserve to be in a hangar not out in the elements. :(

Interesting to note this plane was part of the 509th Composite Group during the Crossroads project!
