i have been off the wix for quite some time now, but still always here. i truly love & respect this site & all it's members / participants since 2004. i am now offering for sale a once in a life time opportunity to purchase segments or an entire purchase of an aviation library / archive spanning back to near 65 years from a man who was passionate & fanatical in his love of aviation history, & aviation model building. this collection is a purchase inwich i made this past october from the estate of robert ivey of vermilion ohio. ww2 veteran, who was an aviation machinist's mate on martin pbm mariners in the pacific theater of the war. this archive / library is as comprehensive as it gets. his aviation model collection both built & unbuilt sold for $20,000 dollars. his model trains, accessories, memorabilia sold for $50,000, but that is another topic that doesn't pertain here. this is how passionate about his hobbies that he was. i urge everyone on this site to google his obituary for his credentials to back up this post here on the wix. if you are into model trains just mention it to me & we'll go from their, as i have another archive pertaining to that as well, but don't know much about it. now, back to aviation history & aviation modelling!! i have hundreds, no embellishment here!!, of repro photos, original reference books both hard & soft bound, magazines, etc, that has taken me over a month to cull through & sort. sadly, i could not save everything in this collection & had to discard 4 + 39 gallon garbage bags of mag clippings, etc, as well as filling my business's 4 cubic yard dumpster a 1/4 of the way full from the bottom of it empty!! ..........

items for sale.....

koku fan reference books / scale drawings of specific aircraft
squadron/signal books
very collectable & rare cleveland model supply & hobby brand aircraft drawings / plans as well as others
past issues of ipms mags from the mid 2 thousands to the 1950's as of dates
over 200 profile" publication booklets" on specific planes (british publication)
cross & cockade ww1 aviation, complete sets
air racing memorabilia, fabric from corsair 57, weddell wiliams, roscoe turner, dick becker, cook cleland autographs
author signed books
countless misc old aircraft mags wings / air power air classics etc
ww1 spad aircraft fabric

cripes!! the list goes on & on!! all in excellent to good condition. you name it, i've got it, ww1, ww2, axis / allied aircraft, air racing, civil /airliners

i have been a good member of this board since 2004, i urge you to look up my credentials re: aviation history. i have bought, sold, brokered, collected vintage aviation since 1987. 5 time nationally published author re; aviation history.

honest, this list & post on the wix only scratches the surface of what i have. all of these publications are long out of print & rare. the proverbial "holy grail" is here for you, w/ me i assure you.

reply on the wix, pm me with your phone number, i'll respond asap. you can come to my home to look for yourself, i've had wixers here before. phone calls are highly reccommended, simply to much to list here. keep your eyes peeled on the wix for future posts in many categories.

you can buy from me w/ confidence geek :) :D pop1
yours in aviation history,
tom d. friedman

p.s. mr ivey had numerous donations of his model works donated to the smithsonian's air & space museum, as well as the usn aviation museum in pensacola florida. you just don't dump a kit out of the box & build, paint, micro detail scale details to submit your work to these museum entities, they have exacting standards as to accuracy, scale, etc.
