A brief but nice article about this Canberra and its' restoration by the Vulcan Trust. I suspect they were looking for something less pricey to get back into the air.

Love the Canberra as a type. I remember seeing a privately owned one at Oshkosh many years ago.

I got the chance to crawl around in one for a 'looksie' as an Air Cadet at RAF Bruggen in 1965.
Also recall seeing one come in and land on the foam carpet at RAF Manston around 1971 after a total gear failure. Once the aircraft had touched down it resembled a huge jet speedboat trailing a massive wave of foam behind it. The top canopy was popped off and first one, then two figures appeared and stepped out onto the wing. They both slid on to the foam carpet and were unhurt. The Canberra carried on sliding for another couple of hundred yards or so after they had abandoned ship.
