I've announced it on Facebook, but now here it is, it's official, I have purchased the Hill B-26 project! She is now in my hangar at French Valley Airport (F70), in Murrieta, CA. Right now we are inventorying everything and coming up with the restoration plan. I will post photos as I can...

Congrats! As I recall, The Utah Aerospace Foundation only had the forward section right?

Hopefully she may fly again, but until we've got a good inventory, can't say for sure yet. Missing a "few" things.

Hill had the remains of the two B-26's that went off the end of the runway in Aug '42 at Naknek, AK. Unfortunately, a scrap dealer had gotten there first...
We have the cockpits and center sections, but the aft fuselage needs substantial work. Wings are cut up, much of them missing. We have engine nacelles, mounts, cowling, but haven't located main gear yet. Ailerons, flaps, rudder are also here, but need repairs.

Much to do....

Sounds exciting! If you can get the Phantom back to air worthy, this will be very "doable"! I wish I was closer to volunteer!

Wow!!! That is awesome!! It's hard to believe it'sa almost 20 years (1998) since Kermit's left Chino. 1370 is just 9 airplanes from the prototype 1361!
