Hi Guys especially kiwis

Anybody got any updates on the Yeagan Mossie since the November Avspecs site pics. I know the fuse is now in Avespaecs at Ardmore but I am wondering about wing progress and if Glynn has started another Fuse yet etc
Any updates kindlt appreciated

The edition of Classic Wings which arrived today says the Mossie fuselage at Avspecs is in the purpose-built 'rotisserie' jig so it can be rotated easily, and is having bomb and gun bay doors fitted now. It is a "structurally complete fuselage" with the rear bulkhead fitted permanently.

Also the canopy has been test fitted.

Meanwhile both Classic Wings and the latest (Feb 2006) edition of NZ Aviation News say the wing is being currently worked on by Glynn Powell and his team.

I have seen no word yet as to whether another fuselage has been started. I guess the wing is a huge job in itself. I hope this helps.

It must be thoroughly satisfying for Mr Powell to finally see the fruits of his long labours coming togetehr like this.

I reckon! Thank goodness he's stuck at it, not only will he be responsible for bringing a beautiful aircraft back to life but he's done the same with the woodworking etc skills that he's learnt in the process.

Everyone knew how a Mossie fuselage was built, GP actually went and did it!
