Anyone know what the new scheme will be? I'm guessing a "Pinball" paint scheme, that would certainly be eye catching.

So much for the pinball promises of 2017...

I think its great that the CAF put both of its 63's back in their original markings, both of which honor the often-forgotten test programs. Hats off to the CAF P-63F Sponsor Group for the new paint job! Looks great!

Also, there were never any official "promises" for a pinball scheme... I believe that was third-party conjecture. I for one am very happy with the scheme. Can't wait to see the two CAF TEST aircraft in the air together.

Taylor,

My comment was made tongue-in-cheek. The group can paint their craft in pink polka dots. But perhaps you get the history of why an old guy in MN would want to see a Kingcobra in orange paint again...pure nostalgia.

As for ¨third-party conjecture¨, whoever the gentleman is in this video for the 12 Planes of Christmas program, he´s wearing a shirt from the P-63F support group, and I could swear I heard him ask for funds to return this example to pinball colors. I guess that´s where I got this crazy notion that one day she´d be orange.

I think it looks sharp in all silver. It's inspiring my to drag my rare model kit of it out and actually build it.

It looks really nice and glad to see them applying a few stencils to it. Next on the wish list is to see the XP-82 arrive at Oshkosh with it's NACA paint scheme and a NACA P-63 on each wing! Now that would be awesome.

Looks fantastic. So glad to see it in original colors, with its' own story to tell. Kudos to all involved.

I love the fresh original scheme on this very special P-63. Hopefully, we'll see another P-63 with less significant history be painted in the Pinball scheme.
