On Discovery Channel tonight Adam Savage of MythBusters fame teams up with film maker Peter Jackson to restore a fleet of fighter planes in order to later stage a WW1 dogfight. Any Wixers got some inside knowledge of this?

Gas guns, lasers, 'hit' detection, triggering smoke. Woot!

Thanks Errol! As you touched on, they fitted laser sensors to a Dr.1 and an Re.8 which would register hits and they would trigger smoke or streamers. They also installed replica gas guns. It was a fun episode...tho the viewing experience was marred by a large swimming shark circling in the upper right quarter of the screen announcing "Shark Week in 2 Days" including the final dogfight filming!!! Not to worry, the commercials are "shark free"!!! This also happens during "On Demand" replay, hopefully you folks will be spared this torture!
