SWEET - I wish they'd do one for gamecube. THe Microsoft combat sims are nice but I like the "arcade" feel a little better.

Me too, sometime realistic sims suck the fun out of it. I played one with a Battle of Britain campaign. You have no idea how many times I dead sticked a Hurricane after a run on a German bomber formation. Though I did get really good at nailing He 111's while my engine was dead while I passed through the formation.

Blazing Angels looks interesting. Now if I could just get it to recognize my Saitek joystick and Pro pedals. So far...no luck...any suggestions?

Ok, why do when the 109s come in firing in the first video do they say "Nicht landen, nicht landen!" with the same voice as in IL-2 Sturmovik?

Scott,

If you get the chance try out the Microsoft Pacific Theater combat sim. It has a little more of the aracade feel to it. I bought :? the battle of Britain version because I thought it would be just as fun and I could not find the Pacific theater version (out of production I guess). Anyway I agree, the B of B version is too challanging for the occasional shoot 'em up enjoyment. I'm impressed that you could shoot down the bombers - I jsut gave up and strafe the heck out of everything until I flub up and crash.

Anyone out there with a copy of Pacific theater they'd like to part with :D

Tom...I found Microsoft Pacific Theater here:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00004 ... e&n=468642

Didn't try to order it so I don't know if it'll actually be in stock or not.

I took Blazing Angels back today. Didn't care much for the game at all. It also wouldn't let me program my joystick and pedals the way I wanted to and I wasn't going to change my set-up to suit what they decided my controls should do.

It's out on PC. I got it. Didn't care for it at all. Maybe it was just me but I couldn't get it to play the way I'm used to playing so I took it back.
