I was watching the video of the FHCAM Me 262 roll out and of course saw the Heinkel in the back of the hangar. Tough to see with the wings stacked to block the fuselage and center section but the top of the engine cowling looks like a CASA 2111 rather than an original He 111. Any word on which type it actually is?

The same video person has another video where they panned around the Heinkel and up to the engine cowlings, and the Merlin installation confirms it as a CASA. It is one of two that FHCAM own, unless they combined both airframes in the restoration. Also it is has been mentioned that FHCAM is building multiple Jumo 211s , although since it took eight engines to get one for the Stuka then more running examples would seem hard to achieve.
In the second video there is also a detailed walk around of the Me-262 including up and over the catwalk to film the immaculate cockpit.

They own two CASA 2.111 the first is EX ACE High, Kermit Weeks
They also are reportedly have acquired a number of JUMO 21s along with a number of original props. But there has been some discussion that FHC might be only concentrating on single engine aircraft from now on.
It is curious that they have not added a Bf-109G to the lineup when several have been for sale in recent years. Also I think they should add flyable Fw-190D to the museum, and keep the D-13 on the ground if they wish. One or two Fw-190D projects have been available in the last decade. (Ex White 1 Foundation and the one put together by Sandy Air Corp.)
I wish somebody had asked about the status of the Fw-189 during the Me-262 presentation but I did not hear that question.

I was shocked to see the CASA basically restored hen the cameraman panned around. I suspect we'll see this aircraft flying in 2020 too.
No, Chris, that's what it looked like when they got it from France. and the other one ex Kermit bird looks almost the same but the paint is a tad more faded. My question is when they get the French bird flying what are the plans for the other one, I personally would like to see it put up for sale.
I have read comments elsewhere that FHCAM is building several Jumo 211 engines. I can only guess that they are Stuka spares or they have plans for them.

I believe they’ve been taken down now, but there were some photos very recently posted to Facebook, taken just a week or two back, of the FHCAM CASA at the Arlington airport and it was in the process of having its German crosses applied to the paint scheme. It appears they have made a fair bit of progress on the aircraft over the past several months since seeing photos of it at the beginning of the year, now with engines, cowls and props fitted.
