The Hughes HK-1 (Spruce Goose) made its first and only flight.
Wouldn't we all like to see it fly one more time?

Yeah but this time go up a few thousand feet.
I'd still like to see how they attached engines that weigh as much as a good size car to wooden wings. And then take the torque and thrust.

Probably using the same engineering principles employed to support the engines on the DeHavilland Mosquito.

Nice! 4-meter wingspan makes it about 1/24 or 1/25 scale, right?
Slow the video down to .5 and it looks amazingly real in many shots... or play it double speed and imagine the hundreds of tiny troops on board simultaneously getting airsick :mrgreen: :vom:
