What's a flying A-26 worth and what would it cost to bring this one back to life? Looks like he has engine and prop cores, but there's no telling why it was pulled apart in the first place...

This page is to document the restoration process of S/N 41-39486 A-26 Invader. The progress may be slow but be patient with me and we will do a restoration together!
This A26B project was found in Sparks NV, stored inside a semi truck trailer. And the wings were stored outside. Wich suffered damage from a wind storm. This is a complete stock A-26 Invader, it was sold surplus from Davis-Monthan Air Force Base. Then stored at Hammar Field, Fresno, Ca in 1961.

This aircraft was a Missouri Air National Guard airplane. (MO- ANG) which is believed to be deployed in World War II and Korea. After the war the aircraft flew privately flew for transport aircraft Inc. in the 1960s. As the story goes the aircraft suffered a hydraulic lock on the number one engine wile on start up. The cylinder was pushed off the case with the piston still inside the cylinder. Ultimately which led to the aircraft's demise, it was parked and never flown again. When the aircraft became a derelict the state of California sold the A26 on auction, to an owner named John Thompson. Mr Thompson disassemble the aircraft and stored it the best he could. Untill he couldn't keep the A26 no more.

The objective of this restoration is to restore the aircraft to airworthy status.
