Thanks Chuck for introducing Charlie's story. Very interesting reading and
photos.

One of the photo contributors Chuck Hebbell has a photo of a He-111
crashed in Bastia Harbor, Corsica. Although the caption says "He-111?"
the ? speaks for itself...

I'm pretty certain the aircraft in question sank rather than crashed there,
an Italian floatplane.. the (FIAT)CMASA RS.14, a reconnaisance or
torpedo/bomber version of the same type..can't tell without seeing the
belly for the weapons gondola or lack of one...

I wonder if the hole in the freighter had something to do with the damage
to the RS.14?
