In the '80s Clint Eastwood move Firefox, a couple of T-6s are briefly seen, apparently playing the part of A-1 "Sandy" Skyraiders. IIRC they're only seen from nearly head-on. We can't see any identification or even the paint schemes. Does anyone know which/whose airplanes these were?

I'd love to build a model of a T-6 in Skyraider clothes. I doubt I'll find any good pics of the real movie airplanes, so I'll probably do one in "what-if" markings. I'll try to airbrush the standard USAF SEA A-1 camo scheme, with the rear sections of the "greenhouse" in a deep blue tint; if that doesn't work out, I can fall back on the overall 16473 COIN gray with the big black exhaust "billboards" on the side. Could be a cool-looking model!

Which T-6s they were will likely depend on where the scene was filmed.
If In Southern California, my guess would be the T-6 flying club out of Van Nuys. Their T-6s were painted in a variety of schemes and often made film appearances...like the "Shadows of the Night" music video.

The only thing I could find on imdb is;

Quote:
Clay Lacy ... special flight consultant

Which might point to the Van Nuys T-6 group I mentioned earlier...since his base was Van Nuys.
