It was on the roster for reading world war 2 weekend. Today it’s not. Anybody know if it was cancelled for maintenance etc?

I heard they needed a landing gear trunnion or fitting. Parts needed to be made/installed. Taking longer than expected.

"CONGRATULATIONS! Diamond Lil fans have reason to celebrate!
We have reached our fundraising goal for the production of Diamond Lil's new structural parts!
There has been an amazing amount of participation and generosity from B24 fans and supporters across the globe. In a year of so many challenges for all of us, you have stepped up with donations to fund the production of these parts and keep Diamond Lil flying.
The order has now been placed to begin the manufacturing process for Diamond Lil's new parts. It will take the coming months and into the winter for these parts to be completed, then installed, on Diamond Lil. We anticipate Diamond Lil to be flying again by late spring of 2021, pleasing crowds and educating all once again.
From this point forward, as you see pictures and hear stories about Diamond Lil and the impact she is making on those that see her fly and learn about her role in our victory of WWII - you can feel proud, because you were a key part of making this happen.
Thanks to all for your generous contributions!

As of Sunday, 05/02, Diamond Lil was sitting on jacks in the VFM hangar with no main landing gear yet. Work continues behind the scenes.

Nah, since Mr. Cavanaugh's involvement years ago, all dates got changed to Tuesday, in line with his father's repeated statement that anything and everything will be finished on "Tuesday" (hence the name of the C-47 - "Mr. "C", It's Tuesday"). (See - viewtopic.php?f=3&t=28857 2nd to last post for the story from Doug J.).
