EDIT...guys, please let me know if you think this relevant or of interest. I do not want to ''pollute''. I find them of interest with a ''somewhat'' military background. Sincerely.

BTW...anyone knows the name of the audio commenter on most era British videos of the time & period????

His voice spans many years of quick short film reports / documentaries.

He must have done this for 20 years on a daily base.

Cheers.

And....never seen (by me before) who knew about the ancestry of the DC-4? The 1935 designed DC-4E which may have in some form influenced the Connie design!!!!

Which was sold to Japan in 1939.....which may have served as a base design for the Nakajima GN5!!!!

And now...for a contraception that even surprised me....an outboard powered sea...thing.

Sustainable flight above 10ft not guaranteed.

View it as an early WIG effect effort :-)

The Robertson Waterplane...thingy.

16 Avro Lancasters goodwill tour US July 1946

Now this is new for me. Imagine seeing that sight in the US in 1946. Was pretty common in Canada close by....but must have been an interesting spectacle in the US.

And the engine sound effect on the C-130. I'm reminded of the "jet" engine sounds on the 707 in the movie "Airplane".

Thanks Michel! And today's helpful hint before the other WIXers start cracking jokes... that should be "contraption" - "contraception" means... to prevent pregnancy
