I'm sure someone or several here will be able to answer this for our group, the Ferrymead Aeronautical Society.

We have the cockpit section of Electra ZK-TEA which lacks the nose gear and we've been wondering if it is feasible to use the gear set from an Orion as it seems to be that there's more likelihood of sourcing one of those given the withdrawl and scrapping of Orions in several countries nowdays.

Thanks for any insight.

Since you aren't flying it, it should be close enough (if it's too long, who will notice since it is not attached to wings?), especially since you only have the cockpit and it won't be supporting much weight.

At first when I read Orion and Electra, I was thinking about the really old Lockheeds.
