Warbird Digest is reporting that the NMUSAF in Dayton is sending their Bell P63E Kingcobra 42-11728 and their Beech C-45H Expeditor 52-10893 to the Museum of Aviation in Georgia.

I would like to see a museum that has the capabilities of a large restoration job, get the Swoose from the NMUSAF restore it and display it. Otherwise its going to be 20+ years before any work is done to it.

Does the NMUSAF have just one the one C-45?
(As well as an AT-11).

If not, I think they should have one on displsy, they had a lot of them and they served for a long time.
A significant type, compared to less significant types that are represented there.
Come on, it's not that big!

hmmm, the Museum of Aviation seems to show they already have a C-45G. Website says it is under restoration.

An undated picture when on outside display shows 11653 serial on the tail

Perhaps Georgia wanted a better example?

Any idea when they'll get there? I may be out there towards the end of next month.
