Great looking Invader.
I don't recall seeing a polished example before.

Does such effort (and likely expense) mean its status as warbird is rising?
To me, it has always been seen as a "second tier" warbird...

Here's a photo of the same Invader taken back in 2014 at National Warplane Museum, Geneseo, NY.
Bare metal, no six gun nose and nose art, or polished like now.
I hadn't seen it since then.
