This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future
Just thought I’d drop a message here that on April 23rd at 11:00 AM, we are going to unveil a new exhibit in the EAA Aviation Museum. It is in the Eagle Hangar and will be called Corsair: Korean War Heroism. It will tell the story of Tom Hudner, Jesse Brown, and the men of VF-32. Our Corsair served in VF-32 and was actually flown by many of these men. The aircraft has been repainted to its Korean War appearance. Many of the families will be on hand to help dedicate the exhibit. Come on out if you’re in the area.
Chris, I'm literally LOL as I'm bringing a small group of teens to the museum on Friday, April 22nd. Sadly, I can't change our schedule to make Saturday.
How did the old Hee Haw song go..."If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all..." ?
It was great to see you! And thanks. So incredible to get to honor the men of VF-32 with one of their actual planes. It was amazing to spend time with the families. We even got to find our plane in their loved ones log book!
