Happens every time there is a crash - People speculate, and guys recoil and implore to wait weeks, months or years until the official report comes out.
Let it rest, its human nature to speculate and take educated guesses. I'm leaning towards equipment failure myself but yes we shall see, I think Snort himself would certainly have an educated guess if this happened to someone else.
Not the 1st time a high performance pilot met his end in a low performance civilian craft, Scott Crossfield [X-15 pilot, among many more] was killed flying a Cessna. Gary Powers survived getting shot down at 70,000 ft in a U2 and met his end in a failed autorotation when his news chopper ran out of fuel.
I personally like speculation, its food for thought, particularly at a topic specific forum like this where just about everyone has a degree of aviation knowledge ,, Now if it was dailymail comments section or something then yeah, might well be a bit crude.
And to add to the speculation/guess/theory, another forum has brought the seat rail, seat rail pin, and seat back pin issues which has been a common items in Cessna crash investigations and the subject of several directives. (the Italian plane is based on Cessna design, and seems to share the same type of seat/seat pin).
I am NOT saying that is what happened here, but like any good theory it could explain a lot- or be totally off. I have been driving a car and gone to slide my seat back, and boom- back to the rail stops and my feet of the pedals and hanging onto he steering wheel. Please no pitchforks, yes I know it will be investigated. Again this is just for discussions sake, like many of us do...we wonder, we guess....we talk....
