I know Snodgrass is out there with his, and I presume Ed Shipley is too. Don't know how many 86s are there.

Supposedly the F-86 performed a gear-up landing on the base and one of the fuel tanks ignited, and what witnesses said created a fireball. Teh pilot was not injured the the Heritage Flight Conference continued today minus the F-86. I saw pictures of this years event and what I believe is Planes of Fames F-86 was in attendance as well.

The jet looks pretty good from the long-range shot in the attached video.

From the video it looks like it was POF's F86. That's the only F86 with a yellow band on the vertical stab that is a Heritage show aircraft to the best of my knowledge. Glad to hear the pilot is ok!! This plane can be rebuilt

That sure looks like the Museum's F-86. That really sucks. Does anyone know who was flying it?

In the video is the F-86 on its gear again? Its a bit hard to tell but it appears that way.

I am curious to hear more of what happened as we are about to start flying our F86 after inspection. I just finished our gear swings last week with emphasis on the emergency extension.

Vlado says Snort is fine, the plane is the PoF F-86, it is back up on it's legs, and the damage is not too bad, considering.

I have it on good authority that the plane will be airborne again very soon.

I thought there certainly would be some kind of a stall warning buzzer or other warning that your gear is not down.....just a guess...Tom
