I was in need of a day off, so I took Friday as a vacation day. I made another visit to Vintage Wings of Canada.

Ed Russell's Hurricane was in the hanger undergoing it's annual inspection. You can find picture of it in the VWoC Vistors album at...

The Spitfire was also up on jacks. It looked like it was set-up for gear swings...

You can also find links to the Vintage Wings of Canada photo albums from my features page...

Do you want to find locations of displayed, stored or active aircraft? Then start with the The Locator.
Do you want to find or contribute to the documented history of an aircraft? If so then start with the Airframes Database.

Hi Peter,

I am guessing you found the Canada Aviaton Museum photo albums via the features page. If that is the case I am guessing you are referring to this piece of history...

This is the fuselage section of RCAF s/n 5301, one of two deHavilland DH-106 Comets that saw service with the RCAF. Both were Mk 1s, and were the only two Mk 1s to be rebuilt when all of the Mk 1s were withdrawn from service due to the infamous design flaw. To see a picture of 5301 when it was in service go to...

...and click next to see a few slightly different angles.

Thanks for the post. It helped to point out to me that I had a few broken links on my website.
