I was out of town this weekend and missed the airshow at Andrews AFB in MD this weekend. Did anyone go there that can report on it or better yet post some pics!

Thanks

There were a number of really unusual items there this weekend, including a NASA F-18A and OV-10, and an all grey F-4 Phantom II (heritage flight). Several unusual spook types were there as well, such as a J-Stars, and Rivet Joint. Two F-117A's, a U-2 and an F-22 were jammed in next to a JSF mock up. On the warbird side, there were about 20 or so....

B-17 "Memphis Belle"
B-24 "Diamond Lil"
B-25 "Panchito"

PBY - Fighter Factory
Spitfire Mk.IX - Fighter Factory
TBM - Fighter Factory
P-40 - Fighter Factory

P-51D - CAF
BT-13 CAF - Culpepper
C-45? - RAF Markings - CAF?
Kate replica - CAF

F4U-5N - Collings Foundation

P-51D - unknown - flew heritage flight

C-54 - Berlin Airlift

F-86 - Dale Snodgrass

MiG-17 - Red Bull

OV-1

...there were probably others, but I can't remember off the top of my head.

The flying was mostly kinda dull, but the Snowbirds were amazingly beautiful as always. The Blues were there too, but I wish they were still using A-4's... the F-18's take just too long to get back on show center.

I'll post some piccies when I get a chance to go through them.

Cheers,
Richard

Hi Richard:

The P-51D (Red Nose) and the C-45 are Dixie Wing CAF. The Kate is I think privately owned but allied with Dixie Wing.

It was Bald Eagle in Heritage flight.
Also MV-22 Osprey reported at show.
