First time hearing a V-3420

I stumbled across a YouTube channel for a hotrod project with an old V-3420 engine. I don't know much about the project, but they have gotten it started. I'm looking forward to hearing it running in better tune.

Interesting to see the twin output shafts in that second video. Was there not a single propshaft or is this a modification? It almost looks as if the two halves are not mechanically connected.

Wow. Thanks so much for posting this. We saw one in the museum in Olympia back in 2004 but I never imagined we'd see one running.

It looks original compared to museum examples. I know that the engines on the twin DB-610 could be ran independently so perhaps the 3420 can as well.
