Model 9D-2 Orion MSN 208 NC799W originally with Evening News Association as NX799W commandeered by USAAF in June of 1942 from Arthur D. Knapp. Released Sept 1944. Scrapped in Nov 1947 after an accident at Los Angeles, CA.

Interesting shots as ever Mark: many thanks.

This aircraft carried the name "Early Bird" pre-war and was fitted with a camera pod on the left-hand wing leading edge.
