Hello guys,

this week-end I had the chance of being a passenger on numerous formation sorties with Nanchangs, Yak 52s and a T-6. I'm definitly getting my formation training this summer! 8) 8)

Air to air shots taken from the T-6.

I think the green "27" "35" and red Chinese one are Nanchang CJ-6 ?
Nice pictures. :D

Nice pictures. :D

I thought the ID features were:

Bent wing and rectangular tail = CJ6
Straight wing and rounded tail = Yak

Is that low fuel light on for the right or reserve tank in the first picture? Hope you were going to be on the ground soon. From the looks it could be a low film light. Lots of nice pics.

Chuck was pulling my leg about CJs.

The low fuel light was apparently a snag as the front cockpit had the light unlit.

Cheers for the kind words guys!

:D

System, I know the pilot of the red CJ, so it was a matter of being nice to him, helping push his aircraft in the hangar, etc.

Formation clinics are great events to hone your skills for precision flying. I recommed it to everyone who wants to move to the next level and be a better pilot.
It looks like the weather was lousy. Thanks for sharing the pictures.

Looks like you had a great time, thanks for the pictures!

I like the green red and yellow paint scheme on those birds.

T-6 was owned by an American, can't recall his name and no, I don't write down registrations.

NATA is having a FAST clinic at Dubuque, IA July 20-24, this will be for low wing bubble canopy only.

Nice shots. You don't see air to air shots of the CJ nearly often enough.

I don't write down registrations either... I take photos of them if I'm not familiar with the aircraft.
