The Hurricane Mk IV, s/n KZ321 c/r CF-TPM, has flown for the first time since it was shipped from Duxford and reassembled in Gatineau by VWoC. The pilot, Robert Erdos an experienced Hurricane pilot and test pilot for the National Reasearch Council of Canada, reported no problems with the airplane. He also was sporting a big grin when he returned to the ramp.

KZ321 WILL BE ATTENDING AIR SHOW OTTAWA THIS WEEKEND!!!

You can thank the goverment for being speedy on the paperwork. The first flight wasn't actually scheduled for another week or two even though the Hurricane was practically ready to go.

Do you want to find locations of displayed, stored or active aircraft? Then start with the The Locator.
Do you want to find or contribute to the documented history of an aircraft? If so then start with the Airframes Database.

:D Simply outstanding. Thanks Mike for posting some pics. I can't make it to Ottawa this weekend but I can hope for good weather for those of you who can go. Any chance the Hurricane will make the trip to Geneseo in three weeks :?:

The VWoC crew are not too keen on going too far from home with it while it is new to them. Air Show Ottawa might be your only event to see it at not including the Fly Days/First Saturdays.
