Warbird Information Exchange

I'm a model builder and looking for information on a couple of past warbird paint schemes... 1st - On the former Max Chapman F4U-4 N240CA does anyone have a photo that shows if the green band has a break in it on the bottom of the RIGHT wing like it does on the bottom of left wing for the word "MARINES"...
2nd - The latest Warbird Digest has a photo of the Planes of Fame A6M5 Zero when it was first restored with a 2 tone Green / Gray upper camouflage over Gray... Does anyone have a different angle of this paint scheme that might show if the inboard portion of the leading edge is yellow like it is in the later schemes it wore... Thanks in advance, Mike

Mike, if you have not been there already, the "walkarounds" section of www.aircraftresourcecenter.com has a pictorial of Chapman's Corsair with some great detail shots. You may take a look there.

The Air Museum's A6M-5 was built by Nakajima and had an orange leading edge stripe.

I know this because Ed Maloney had me paint it once, many years ago.
