Any current plans to restore this B-25?

May be a silly question, but is this one of the three they have been offering for sale for the last I don't know how many years?

I remember that one as a little kid in the mid 60s when it was at the park in Northern Minnesota. They had steps up to the cockpit so you could look inside. For an already WW2 aviation obsessed kid, it was my first up close and personal look at a WW2 plane. Oh how I wanted to climb inside and sit in that cockpit :)

I imagine since it's stored at Ocotillo Wells, that it is probably a parts source for Aerotrader. Carl Scholl and Tony Ritzman have their store yard out there. Just my guess but check with Aerotrader if you want to be certain

Here are some shots of the old girl back in 1979 at the Paul Bunyon Amusement park.
That's me standing near her in the first picture.
I too, was very much into the warbirds back then, and had already been to Oshkosh twice by the time this picture was taken, and always like the chance to see the B-25 at the park.
My parents and grandparents would always go on a fishing trip during summer vacations, and us kids always got to go to the PB Amusement Park. I forget how many times I had seen this plane, but this is the only time I had my picture taken with it.
Kinda disapointing so see it painted OD, and then finally removed, only to be sitting in pieces.
I always remember her as bare metal, and always will.
She must have been in pretty rough shape, to have not been rebuild by now, right?

Oh well, I have my memories.

Leon.

Those photos sure bring back memories. I was probably only 7 or 8 years old the last time I saw the bomber but I distinctly remember the post war scheme and walkway over the wing.

Thanks for the photos, Leon - in appreciation, I've enhanced and corrected the color for you:

Enjoy! Happy 4th to all.

By the way, how much does Aero Trader want for this plane? Hope somebody buys it and puts it back in the '50s markings...
