Warbird Information Exchange

Does anybody know where I can get a full size decal or sticker of the WWII Curtiss Electric Propellers decals that were on the blades of their props? It doesn't have to be an original, a repro will do.

Or does anyone know where I can find a good photo of one?

This is what I have...

10 years ago I worked for Curtiss Wright in Shelby, North Carolina. The residual inventory and tech support info from the WW2 facility in New Jersey had been transferred there. I saw the original artwork for this logo in the archives at one time, but it was all destroyed at the request of the corporate legal staff. They also scrapped out a warehouse full of late model 1820 and 3350 spares because of traceability issues. I have a new 3350 TC piston and valve on my desk as a paperweight, but everything else went to the scrapper with the exception of the sodium filled valves. The valves are buried under the foundation of their machine shop. I tried everything in my power to stop the process, but the lawyers won.

The correct decals can be found at Warbird-parts.com. Go to the propeller inventory then click on item X-30. The price is 6.00 each.
