Exterior: Highly polished skin with USAF markings
Interior: Zinc chromate finish with Black panel and natural wood floor boards, original style
I don't like the Cavalier conversion, it's too neat and fluffy.
Also don't like the look of the TF-51 canopy.
This one is perfect!

It seems that many flying P-51s have been
refitted with wheels and brakes from P-63s.
Outside of an obvious but informationless
answer like "they are better", why is that?

Note how the seat has been cut and spliced right down the middle to narrow it for clearance with the rear rudder pedals. I wonder if a standard seat pack parachute can still be used in front?

You can also see how the rear rudder pedal cables clamp onto the stock ones.

I think it's a case of availability and price to be honest... there aren't many P-63's around to use up the spares. Does anyone know differently?

Ahhh.... 483.... this was the first Mustang that I remember seeing at local airshows! Use to see it all the time here in the Dallas area and I ended up with MANY pictures of it. Even saw Bob Hoover do a display in it one time because his yellow Mustang was down. Hope to follow it to see who the new owner is.

The P-63 brakes are bigger and there are more parts around, I think. Question, when I went to the Courtesy web page, I didn't see this one listed?? Where or where is it on there web page?

Well, the Lotto 6/49 is slated for $21 Mil here Saturday night here in Canada, so I guess I'll just have to get me a ticket or two. That other '51 wouldn't be bad either since it used to fly out of the CWH in Hamilton as Dennis Bradley's "Old Boy"; it'd be nice to bring her back to Canada.
