Paul Allen (or his representatives) handed over the keys
to their new P-47 to Bud Granley, who drove the Jug around
a bit during the afternoon airshow at the Arlington EAA fly-in.

I had never seen a Jug fly before, so it was a treat for me and my
buds who were camped out at the show.

It is all natural aluminum (no markings / paint applied yet).

Steve Hinton apparently delivered / ferried it up a short while
prior to the show.

What a treat to see it fly on such a perfect Saturday afternoon....

Sorry, no pics (we were quite a ways away sitting in our campsite,
and my trusty little canon digital camera can't zoom in close enough
to get good shots from that distance.....

Some photos to accompany Bela's post. As you can see, FHC threw the Storch up too. 8)

Hey Bela,

I think you need to find out what kind of camera Mark was using.

He was able to zoom in & take the pics of the P-47 all the way from Vancouver.
