Hi all,

I finally got my computer back from the shop today. Last Saturday I went to the Wings OF Eagles airfest in Elmira, NY. It was a rainy day but thought I would go up to look around. They had the Schweizer job fair there which is one of the reasons I went. So I wrote out an application and talked to a representative. So who knows, I might be biulding parts of Blackhawks or something! After that I made sure to take lots of pictures for you guys. Some WOE staff guy came up to me after ne noticed me taking pictures. I told him I was from the WIX board who were dedicate in recording current warbirds. His name was David and we talked for a while. He told me the museum is finally steady at the moment. I asked what the future plans are for WOE and he said to slowly work their way up and eventually have airshows again. :D The PBY and C-47 are still at the museum. The C-45 was gone as well as Fuddy Duddy. BUT, good news!!! The Mig 17 did engine tests the other day!! It left a burn mark on the grass! All looked good and it should be flyable soon! :D

Anyway here are a few pictures of WOE 2006!

I believe that first plane is actually an FH-1 Phantom, not a Banshee.

Too bad the weather did not help out. I really like the idea of bring out the mueum a/c for poeple to get a good look at. I must say that the RB-57A looks great! Someday I may make it back down there again.

Tim
