Anyone out there yet?

I am sad to report, that I will not be attending this years event at Osh.

I finally, after 3 years of court battles, get to see my 8 year old daughter that I have not seen in nearly 4 years!

So, I am driving to Omaha, Nebraska to get her for a couple of weeks this week!

Hope everyone is having fun out there. Please post some pictures as soon as you can!

Sorry to hear that you can't make it to Oshkosh this year Paul. But as you already know, your family comes first and there's always next year!

I got in Sunday but haven't seen everything yet. The DeHaviland Vampire was nice to see in the air since they are so rare. I noticed an OOPS over in the EAA Museum. They have some great photos of various restored WW II planes in one section and they had one of the late model 109's( or re-engined Buchons) that's flying in Europe identified as the BF-109E that's now in Canada!

Note the dog whistle sending some Wisconsin topsoil down runway 27, making the sporadic showers not entirely unwelcome.

More photos to follow (If you so desire)...

What name is on the nose of the P-51A above the exhaust stacks?

It's the one from Planes of Fame. They did a heritage flight on it's arrival with two F-16 and the 2 seat P-51C
