This AIM-9 missed all the wires so I guess it was spotting the deck!

Must've missed hearing about this new deck launched deck to water antisubmarine missile the Navy is now employing....better check my notes and find the specifics on it...anyone know if it hit the sub or not? :D

Those aren't blue stripes those are Yellow and Brown. I'm not sure the Gov would take kindly to ya'al flying those around. That is a Live AIM-9.

I'd love to know how those shots were captured. That seems almost too good of shooting camera wise. I'm sure some ord-ee was in hot water until he sold out the Tweaks. We all know that in the Light Attack, Ordnance gets the credit when all goes well, the Tweaks get the beating when something doesn’t. :wink:

And rightfully so! But I thought F-18s only carried gas anyway.
In A-6s we didn't mess around with piddly little weapons like AIM-9s.
Wall-to-wall MK-83s loaded by hernia bar (that'll put hair on your chest!)
, Zunis, Rockeyes or SLAMS are more my cup of tea.
