Probably Ontario, but that's not the PoF P-40.

My guess is AL152. Orange County?

AL152 at Movieland while she still had the 'N' canopy and before 'Tora!'

Here's a page with some interesting info concerning the 'N' canopy. It's just after the bit on Saburo Sakai.

On that page you'll notice a scanned cover from an old 'Model Airplane News' rag and that the P-40 on that
cover is described as follows:

This P-40E is most likely the same P-40 examined here although with a different paint scheme for filming.

This is actually Movieland's TP-40N.

Right on, bdk and Steve. Here's a pic of AL152 from OSH 81, more or less as she looks today.



Since Steve mentioned the Movieland TP, I'll post here the final bad/old P-40 pics that I was getting ready to share. No mystery here, just a couple of pics I think are cool. This is Frank Tallman flying N923 at the 1969 Reno races. WIXers of a certain age who were influenced by the "Baa Baa Black Sheep" TV show will instantly recognize the paint scheme from the first sequence of the pilot, but by that time (3 or 4 years after this pic was taken) the TP canopy had been replaced by one of those ugly single-seat canopy treatments. This machine is now the latest beauty in Kermit Weeks' stable.
