That's just grim. It's a shame lynch mobs went out of style.

Unbelieveable!!!!

Unfortunately, if they ever catch the punks that did this they'll get a slap on the wrist and about 20 hours of community service. The owner can also forget about any kind of restitution since these knuckleheads don't have a pot to piss in.

I agree with Jack...warbird vandalism should be a capital offense in this country! :Hangman:

Now, now, Gentlemen...

Must we really blame these taggers, when actually WE are the ones who have failed them as a society at large. Frankly, the virulent speech directed against these poor youth so far alarms me.

Oh forget it...capital punishment is too mild...how about public castration with a rusty machete? :P

Yes, but like alot of other federal laws, it will be the first charge thrown out if they catch the yutes. The feds will look at is too small to be worth thier while. I think they need to have a airshow after they catch them and the featured act will be the yutes in pink jumpsuits scrubbing all thier work off the plane, while it is parked at show center, and the whole time thier names and addresses with be broadcast over the PA SYSTEM.

Ever here of this happening in Israel? Mandatory military service or caning are 2 possible solutions.

Caning! I know a couple of vets with canes--pretty sure they'd handle it for a small fee.

A gentleman I work with had a simple solution for these graffiti punks. He said that if you posted official snipers near an area where the punks commonly do their deeds (such as railroad switching yards), then "took out" a couple of them and hung the little bast*rds from a prominent telephone pole-------maybe the other ones would get the message to knock it off!!!!!!!!

Sorry for advocating violence-------but I can dream, can't I?

In the early hours after midnight on July 4, 1972 a pretty decent A-26 mounted on pylons at Julia Davis Park in Boise, Idaho was blown in half by vandals with a stick of dynamite (the press said). It was painted a brownish olive drab color with no markings and no ID visible. The Invader broke fairly clean behind the raised deck leaving the full rear fuselage and tail section intact on the ground. A very sad photo was on the cover of the Idaho Statesman on the 5th.

The fire department quickly hauled off the two-piece A-26 for fire practice I was told. I was 16 and wanted desperately to offer the city my savings account ($170 or so) or something, to trailer it all home but the BFD was quick, and I heard it was very soon destroyed.

What a shame. I never got an ID on this airplane or any history.

On another note an F-86L sat at Gowen Field in those years with the wings sawed off and by 1973 was hauled off to an auto wrecking yard at the east end of the airport. A friend and I aksed if we could buy it from them but got a stern no answer.

Then there was the Milt Smilinich B-25 derelict at the airport that also went over to the guard side as a stripped out hulk also slated for fire practice as late as 1985.

Can somebody sell me a time machine?

I would love to introduce the little punks to the Michael Doulgas character in the movie "Falling Down".

If they ever catch the little dirt-bags that did this I think we should all take up a collection and hire R. Lee Ermey to supervise them during the clean-up (he could use the work now that his "Mailcall" show was supposedly cancelled). They are in dire need of some serious discipline and Gunney is just the right person for the job. After about 10 hours of Gunney smoking their arsses I bet they'd all be lying on the ground in the fetal positon, sucking their thumbs and crying for their Mommas.
