Hi All,

I made a quick trip to the BC Aviation Museum this weekend and thought I'd post a few photos. Fortunately no one at the airport threatened to arrest me for taking photos.

Sorry, didn't take any pictures of the Norseman, Boly or Anson since they looked exactly as they did a year ago when I was there. The CT-133 is out of the restoration hangar and still needs the tip tanks hung. The Viscount is new , it was acquired from BCIT (the tech university) at the Vancouver Airport where it serve as a maintenance trainer, nice to see it getting some long overdue attention. The Harvard is a static restoration made up from several aircraft. The Auster AOP 6 is coming along, they said it should be flying in about a year. The only other change is that the Tiger Moth that was on loan was donated to a museum in Alberta so it was gone. There was also a Grumman Goose there, I don't know if it belonged to the museum, was on loan or just parked at the museum.

If you get a chance, visit the BCAM, it's a nice museum. More info on the museum and their collection can be found at http://www.bcam.net/

All the best,

Brian....

Tks for sharing BLR.....

Glad to hear for the old Viscount.

I remember seeing a pic of her on a barge for the crossing 8)

That must have been quite a challenge to move her there.

Any pics of the Boly :?:

Hi Michel,

I never took any pixs of the Boly this trip other than one blurry one, but here are a couple photos of it about a year ago. Far as I can tell nothing has been changed in the last year.

Are you still involved in the Boly restoration? Any progress on it?

Brian....

Nice work Brian. It is great to see the Viscout there. I last visited in 2001 and it looks like I need to take another trip back.

I have not been or seen anyone from that group for over 6 years.

Last I have seen of the bird she was still in dismantled storage in St-Hubert airport.

Tks for the Boly pics.

Hi Andrew,

The Viscount isn't open to the public right now but it sounds like it may be when it's finished. She's needs a lot of work so it may be a while!

All the best,

Brian....

That is such a cool picture of the Viscount on the barge... :D

And at least they did not have to cut off the wings to transport her to the museum...
