The 4 F-14s scheduled to fly in the Fleet flyby and airpower demo on Sept. 8-10 this coming weekend and the single plane afterburner pass Sat. evening the 9th, at the 2006 NAS Oceana Air Show in Virginia Beach, will represent the last ever official public air show appearances for the Tomcat.

I am really looking forward to it. I saw my first Tomcat as a static display in May 1972 at Transpo 72 at Washington Dulles Airport in Northern Virginia aand my first aerial demo in August 1975 at Oceana. The F-14 will be missed. :(
