Does anyone know if other aircraft ie warbirds are a part of this type of event?

It's coming to Perth in November and they're talking about it being an Air Festival so I'm hoping there might be a fair bit of action although I would be pleasantly surprised if any of the eastern states gear made the trek over to the west of Oz.

Cheers

Andy

The Red Bull Air Race will come to Australia for the first time and will be held in Perth, Western Australia from 17 - 19 November 2006!

See the world's most exciting aerial event as talented pilots compete against each other demonstrating spectacular moves in Perth's sky. The event will be the pinnacle of an Air Festival.

Eleven pilots will take part in the Red Bull Air Race World Series; all of them long- standing members of the world's elite. The Red Bull Air Race will be the driving force behind the development of a major festival that will inlcude the history and heritage of aircraft and other air events. Aircraft fly overs, aerial displays and static aircraft displays will be featured

Very exciting Andy!
We had the Red Bull Air Race in Rotterdam in 2005, there was the Red Bull Sea Vixen fly-by and a simulated rescue by a Royal Neterlands Navy Westland Lynx. There weer 700.000 spectators!
Too bad that it is not in the Netherlands this year.
