I enjoy seeing these type of "tourist" shots of our people and stuff at work in the war zones. They will be a part of our record for the future...
Just think how much fun our grand children will have trying to identify that old C-17 warbird air tanker...

A6s look USN, but I don't know.

The Harriers have the red & blue roundel of the Royal Air Force, that belongs to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, - NB: not the English...

The Nimrod (the 'plane shot from the air on the hardstanding/ramp) is also RAF, and the grey Herc looks like a Royal Australian Air Force example, while the stretched Herc in dark colours is also RAF.

Great pics. Brad, as Ztex says I also love to see this type of pics, even in just 10 years time they will the past = history to look back on & the world will have moved on to a peaceful existence ( although I doubt it )

We, current pilots and Warbird enthusiast like to speculate on which was the best plane, and meet the veterans, but it is all surreal from the safety of our homes. When you see the photo's like Brad's it hits home that 60 years after Hiroshima we are still in a war, still started by old men whether it is Osama or Bush, frequently who never fought themselves, and still for young men to do the dying and killing in. Oh, we have one great modern advancement, now young women also get to be casualties. When I see the sticker " Support Our Troops", I'd like to change "Troops" to "Politicians", bring the kids home and send the politicians over there. It turns out Brad is a friend from the old Breckenridge Warbird shows, still the most fun ever, both for the flying and the lying.

Brad we are just glad your back safe. Thanks for sharing some of your experiences with us. In the second from the last picture, at the base of the mountains in the valley there appear some white stick looking things. What is that?

Great pics Brad, thanks for sharing. Looks like about 10 Humvees fit in the C-17.

Brad! Great pictures - my little brother would have loved to go via C-17 but he always got hooked up in Hercs.


Another item - I think I have a picture of the ship 0054 sitting onthe ramp here in Wendover! I'll have to go check - I could easily be wrong but the number sure seems more than familier.
