The DEANG held their 60th Anniversary Open House yesterday. It was a beautiful day, although photo's of flying planes were tough as we were shooting into the sun. WLS3's Mig 23 thread addresses that highlight. Here are some other warbird related pics.

Very nice, thanks for posting.

Is that the P-40 that had an off-airport forced landing earlier this year?

Mike,

Thanks for the comment.

Yes it is the same P-40. They repaired it in record time. It was at the Willow Grove Airshow (late June or early July).

Great shots Jeff. Looks like you had lots of sunshine and it was in the right direction.

Eric,

There was abundant sunshine although an errant cloud arrived at exactly the wrong time every now and then. However, most of the flying shots were directly into the sun. These particular shots were taken at the end of the show line when these planes turned into or out of the sun. Unfortunately most of the planes circled away from the crowd. I've got shots that I can process as really good P-47 pictures with a completely blown sky or as a nice background with a silouhette. I'm going to try processing it both ways and combine them with digital magic. Wish me luck.

Jeff
