Hi Guys,

this may on the surface seem like a really dumb question. But recentl;y I ordered and recieved, the DVD's of the CAF airshows from 2002 to 2005. And it got me to wondering. From a purely collector's perspective, where would a person have a shot at finding some really good airshow DVD's from not too far past to present day ?? Warbirds especially...props DEFINITELY !

But I am just basically looking for some good quality video. I was impressed with the past Thunder Over Michigan video and am looking forward to getting the one from this year as well. I really liked the CAF vid's....great quality and the air to air stuff was outstanding.

But feel free to weigh in on this topic.....any and all comments and perspective are appreciated.. Point me to some good stuff guys.

The fellow you really want to make contact with is Paul Koskela, who coincidentally is pretty much responsible for those CAF videos you've been buying (That is, if you've been buying them from the First Observation Detachment out in Washington).

Mr. Koskela can also be spotted wandering around all week at OSH with a movie camera, as he shoots video for EAA every Airventure. I've got some of Paul's work on VHS going back to the early '90's, and it's just superior stuff.

I feel silly that I've lost his contact info. I'm sure someone here has it, or I'm sure you could send something to his attention via the CAF bunch out in Washington. Tell him what you're looking for--I'm sure he can scratch that itch.

Once and a while a 2 DVD set called Warbirds vol 1&2 pops up that features old CAF Shows. I have them and they are worth watching too...
