Hi 270!

I'm watching the history channel program "Japanese Aircraft" right now. They talked about the Oscar. My question for you is, Does the new Oscar have the "Butterfly Flap"?

Thanks

Hi again 270! Do they deploy automatically, or is it a lever or wheel in the cockpit? It sounds cool. Thats probably part of the reason it can turn so tightly. I can't wait to see it fly!

For the hangar flys, butter and regular, bug zapper maybe, nahh, just use one of the old fashioned bug strips you hang from the ceiling, that way you can watch the little guys squirm around in the glue. Good for grossing out the SO. :D

O.P.,

On the N1K2-J, they used a manometer which used relative pressures and angles to cause the flaps to drop. They were calibrated to low airspeeds.

The Oscar uses hydraulic valves for the MLG and the flap actuators.
