Who does this collection of aircraft belong to at this location?
http://www.google.ca/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=2 ... =1&iwloc=A

Is it still accessible after the 2005 Hurricanes?

Mike

P.S. These questions are so I can clarify an entry in the Louisiana portion of my locator...

Do you want to find locations of displayed, stored or active aircraft? Then start with the The Locator.
Do you want to find or contribute to the documented history of an aircraft? If so then start with the Airframes Database.

It looks like it's the Louisiana Air National Guard 122nd Bomb Unit.

Hi Mike

The collection is The Louisiana Military Museum at Jackson Barracks 6400 St Claude Ave, New orleans

If you need a full list of aircraft on display can send you a copy, or if you have a copy of USA Military out of service by Andy Marden he has full list.
Published by Mach III Plus here in the UK last edition was in 2003.

Tony

Thanks gents. How did the place fare after the Hurricanes? Is it accessible to the public?

Mike

Someone posted aerial photos during the flood. I think the Huey and the tanks were full of water. The others were intact but surrounded by water.

For what it's worth, one of my friends in the USCG from Katrina reported flying over the airpark right after the storm and seeing tails stick out of the water.

Haven't been down that way myself--that area's part of the Nagin-induced warzone.
